Think so..

Unfortunately not looking to take any bits off this (more hassle than its wortk for me tbh as dont have time / skills / tools or ramps!)

The bomex lip is off and gone for repair. Once its fixed I will attach a few more detailed pics.

I think thats more likely to be an engine oil cooler rather than gearbox - you can see the stock cooler points and cooler tube in the picture above that aftermarket oil cooler and I can't think of any other way of connecting an oil cooler to the gear box.
just as a bit of info. you can fit the st205 transmission cooler to the mr2 gearbox quite easily - must be easy as I have done it on my car BUT its pure overkill I can't think of anything other than an out and out track mr2 that would need it.

You're right, it looks like/is a greddy gearbox mounted engine oil cooler kit, it should have a scoop/screen thing too, but looks like it's been covered over (obviously) possibly because it doesn't get hot enough to really need it.
