Wheel offset help

Post by Truzo »

Hi I have just brought some wheels as spares for my rev 2 turbo. I couldn't pass up nearly new alloys with 4 brand new tyres for £100 all in, honestly not a mark on them.
I figured I would use them as spares while mine were getting a refurb.

They are not staggered rims but the wheels are:

195/55/15/6.5/et45 Front
225/55/15/6.5et45 Rear

I have standard shocks and springs. I would like to know what size spacers would be good. ?

Thanks.

You shouldn't need spacers with those wheels they aren't far off standard.

Look at this link.. gives you a good idea of how they'll fit.

Hey Draven, I just think the back wheels look strange as the front's tuck out a little more than standard and the back's tuck in.

I was thinking some spacers on the rear would make it look a little better.

Thanks
Joe.

Oh.. in that case the calculator can tell you how far from flush those wheels are and then you can just buy a equivilent spacer to sort it.

Not sure why you'd be fussed though if they are just spares.

These wheels are in very good condition and with my old one off I can refurb them at leasure. I would like my Mister Two to still look respectable during this time.

The calculator says a 15mm spacer on the rears will bring the wheels more in line.

Will this affect the handling ?

Thanks.

It will obviously widen the rear track a little. I personally don't like running with spacers.

I don't think you will notice 15mm spacers on the rear at all. :thumleft:
