Rev1 tension arms caster adjustable?

Post by Race Idiot »

This is probably one for mr BobHatton, but am I right in saying the rev1 tensionrods have adjustable caster?

I had cusco ones on my old car and after getting wim to add some more caster the front end felt much nicer. But the cuscos had exposed spherical bearings which didnt last long after some winter driving.

So my question is do all rev1's have these adjustable tension arms and is it worth fitting them to a rev3 to allow me to add some more caster?

Yeah I might be interested if I can confirm that they work on a rev3. Iirc the bush is different as the prothane kit comes with two types of bush for the tension rod.

I couldve sworn that superpro also made offset bushings also for more caster but that honestly doesnt seem like a good idea.

Pete gidden should be able to sort the bushes. They fit as i removed them off a rev2 you swap the whole metal bracket over aswell as the arm

Ah, I see so the bracket that attaches to the chassis is different also. Hmmm I need to do some more research.

Edit: Apparently the rev2 onwards design improves dive under weight transfer.

Also the rev1 version looks way easier to damage if I had an off or clumped a curb too hard.

Yes, you need both parts for the two sides.

We use them on our race cars together with the Rev1 rear sub frame.
