Power FC extension cable

I bought a pfc but I need an extension cable, I remember someone saying its pretty much just a ps/2 cable with one pin removed?

What i'd like to know is how long a cable do I need?

I did try to search for it but again, search never seems to bring up any relevant results.

I got the 5m cable and had loads to spare, worked fine with that

On another note has anyone taken the plunge on the new verison of the FC Commander?

Apparently its a universal type which will work with any version of power fc and has a better oled display.
