how to attach plastic trim cover in passenger footwell by door

Post by raptor95GTS »

I cannot get this bit of plastic to stay attached to the car, it keeps falling off. There is one bolt head but that doesn't stop it pivoting round, doesn't appear to be any clips to snap it to the bodywork. Any ideas? I could put a shot screw into the trim pieces

If its split from the sill plate then its goosed i think, i had the same issue.. Suppose it could be plastic welded back together though :-k

i've only ever had drivers side off (so far!)

but as the man above says, its one piece with the sill trim....then (if same as drivers side) just clips in, then has one plastic nut type device in footwell

if its intact but not staying on it might have lost a few clips

Terrible bit of design. Yet to see one that isn't broken.

Scuff Plate

The all plastic scuff plate strip, or the anniversary type can be plastic welded if separated at the end below the door hinge.
