Looks like you may have the trophy after all
Yeah Mike told me mate, gutting, i was looking forward to you both being there. Just have to hope Xxxx isn't coming and the gearbox holds up to it.[-o<
I may pop down in the van!!
Ive got all the CC stuff fitted and bled up and my new down pipe and screemer will be done on Saturday, but my turbo has landed about 2" to the left of the CC inlet which is neither hear nor there, so i don't know whether to get the inlet moved or try a S in Samco
Can't you cut the inlet off and take up the gap with samco?

Do you mean cut the inlet down in length Mark???

Very close , i can turn the turbo on the snail, this will give me a bit more room
Does the turbo sit where it's supposed to on the new manifold, or does it sit differently?
If it sits on the correct place then i don't understand why it doesn't mate up anyway????

Yer its sat in the same place, think its because its external wastegate, the CT range are wider??

Mark i'v got a few trophies now so i think i should give some of u guy's a chance to get some . And maybe u getting a few trophies might help u in being more eager in getting into the 11's.I will be coming to the pod, but will only be running 1bar.The head gaskit has just been changed and i need to be abit carfull on the boost, just allowing her to settle in alittle .Shame ANDY-F and MIKE can't make it.
If all goea well I should have the new C/C set up all fitted on Saturday Unfortunately I wont have a chance for a remap though Very tempted to run it regardless but i think that I would be pushing my luck and just be asking for the big bang!

I think the easiest thing short of a new manifold would be to cut a hole in the side of the CC and weld on a new outlet? Think you would still be away from any brazing on fins etc, just dont put too much heat in during welding. Its thin anyway so amps should be mega low. Take a good, brave welder!
Maybe a alteration or new manifold would be best?

NEW MANIFOLD!!!!!!!!
Thats just cost me 1.5k to do
Got it sorted now Jim thanks mate, i have reduced the CC inlet to about 40mm long and spun the turbo outlet on the snail, i think a couple of 45 degree bends will just do it
We did consider welding.......but bottled it LOL

You can post it to me now if you like Toni.
Don't count your chickens yet mate, i know of another MR2 with 306bhp at the hubs, with launch control, antilag and flatshift that's coming down! (and his car's just been on a weight loss plan similar to yours too)
Well I re-dyno'd this car tonight in prep for this weekends amusements and made a few tweeks to the map, even with Dave caining seven shades out of it with the ALS, LC and FS it still made 298bhp @ the Hubs @ 1.3 Bar but I've found an extra 10 lbs/ft at the wheels for him to abuse.
I've worked out the secret to this engines success I just need to strip it to find out why IT can do what so many bigger spec engines fail to do,(i.e run loads of ignition advance at high boost with leaner mixtures without detting it's boobs off).
Nod.
