Has anyone got a link to a thread regarding sorting out leaking T BAR seals and window seals!
Sick of having a wet back end now!

Re: LEAKY T BARS
cling film, silicon sealant <- works very well and doesn't cost a fortune either
Re: LEAKY T BARS
Try rubber rejuvenator then Eccentric guides then new seals if that doesn't work.
Don't bodge it with sealant, chewing gum, sellotape, blu-tak or anything like that.

Re: LEAKY T BARS
some call it a bodge, others call it a fix. Blu tak, agree with not using that

HaHa, That bit of advice is to late for me, I went out to the car after heavy rain and the leather seat was like a full bucket of water, I nipped to homebase and bought some silicon, problem solved for now but it is going to be fun next spring, lol....
On a more serious note, nothing I have ever tried has been a permanent fix, if you can't handle the drip and are planning on keeping the car long term, just buy new seals....

Nowt wrong with a short term fix while sorting new seals out etc.

I was skeptical at first, but this stuff actually worked.

Nearly ordered this until I spotted the exact same seller on eBay doing 2 for £10!
Just waiting for it to arrive now.

You're welcome to test it out tomorrow if you like Stu!
Re: LEAKY T BARS
Is the above products to put onto new seals or will it help old seals? I have a very slight drip, was going to get the sealant out but could try this first.

Not guaranteed. My previous tintop leaked.

I'd check the quarter light Windows and vents as quite a lot of these were not sealed very well from factory....just done mine...but now found water coming from a panel seam just down from the quarter Window on both sides...see my other post about this..

Re: LEAKY T BARS
Use a bit of butyl tape where the leak is it forever sticky and reusable works better then any stupid silicone sealant that just fails and spits after awhile.

Re: LEAKY T BARS
Raptor I was asking about the butyl tape method as mentioned above as not heard of that one.
Yes silicone is easy and straight forward and I had used the guide you linked.
BUT the silicone is NOT sticking firmly to my tbar seals for some reason so I have given up and fancy trying the butyl tape next.
