ENTRY TO THE EVENT.
The location for car clubs and Kit cars will this year be on the infield which will give more room for the club pitches and camping and better viewing on the Sunday Track day. The entry will be free for car club members but you will need your club membership card to secure that free entry. If you have a problem with lost or mislaid cards or you have a dual membership with one card then make contact with me Fred Sanderson and I will arrange a new or additional membership card for you. Do it as soon as possilbe, if you don't have a membership card entry will cost you £10 per. person on each day.
See you all there. Fred S.

Fred I dont have and have never had a club membership card can I have one please!!! I will deffinately be at Donnington this will be my fourth year running and third as a MK1 club member. also I will be doing the trackday so you can now all see what a crap driver I am   Hopefully the gate staff will know about the entance arrangements as last year when I said I was in the MK1 club instead of a dicount I got blank looks followed by a request for full entrance fee :? Anyone not sure about the point of going to a Kitcar show should just try it and see there are loads of stalls selling all sorts of trim and tuning gear Plus the fun of watching track day cars, this is one fun weekend. and now its "FREE" there is now no excuse not to do a MK1 Club Event

Fred, I am going both days. But I can't ever remember receiving a membership card. If I have received one I am really sorry but I have lost it  ! Is there any chance I could have a new one?

Err, yes, but the difference is I am the most disorganised person in the world! :D I may well have been sent a membership card but can't remember

Kevin, you doing the trackday? (I assume yes). It's a tad expensive!

almost certainly yes as a trackday novice i think one session is enough so not that expensive compared to a full days cost and not using it all  regarding membership card I always thought it a bit odd never having anything with a membership no. on but as I've never needed it its not been a problem 'till now I'll put money on us not being the only ones without though

Err, you may be right, but I can't comment because I'm really disorganised

Regarding first trackday: Donington is fine because I don't think you can hit anything! But it's a bit of a power track, so it's not ideally suited to a Mk1...

Personally I'd try an airfield track first: Elvington, Bruntingthorpe etc and then Anglesey (just my opinion)....

I did Donnington last year and as I will be going again it would seem rude not to use the track

Don't think I agree that Donington is a power track TBH, i was surprised by it on the IMOC trackday.

Ok Alex, never done it in a MR2, only done it in a race prepared 2 litre Vectra :clown: (I guess 150hp). That certainly didn't have enough horses to get round the track properly. I'm thinking of three places: The drag up the hill from the Old Hairpin into McLeans, the drag uphill from McLeans to Coppice and Starkey's straight.

You going to have a run round in the SC? I'm going to do one session

And Kevin, I wonder what that reason was! :D

(PS Can you take the Craners flat in an MR2?)

I was more aware of trying not to get wiped out by mad twin bike engined tigers and westfields but I did put several laps on some old guy in a 911

you doing the track Jo? Also what about Raiden though there were dogs there last year I'm not sure about the infield, you know how irresponsible some owners are, which is why dog aren't allowed at lots of places maybe worth a check first :!:

Hiya Kevin
No I'm not doing track - need suspension first!

Not taking Raiden either as i'm driving there both days - I only really take the dog when i really have to ie. when i have to camp over 'cause of distance. I don't really like taking the dog to big events (most don't let dogs either) - too much responsibility for me and can't enjoy the day as much. It will just be like me being at work for raiden - he wont notice.

we never take Kyle to a motorsport event for obvious reason, as I'm on nights friday we may come for sat evening the come back sunday for track session I need to upgrade my suspension but that wont stop me making a fool of myself on the track though
