That's how they came from the factory. Seen loads of SMG MR2s, even from Newera commanding top dollar, with mismatched front bumpers.

No idea why though....

Lot of money for a rev3 turbo!

Maybe the seller still thinks it's 1995?

Love the Tom's scoop in the boot. Best place for it, that or the bin. :lol:

Surely that money could be better spent on say, an NSX (higher miles maybe, but so what!)

If I had £22.5K to spend on a new car, it certainly wouldn't be a '95 MR2 GTS. #-o :lol:

probably due to the body being metal and the bumpers being plastic. the paint will discolour differently.

Not sure if it's worth that money or not :-k

buy it, put it in storage for 20years, then you MAY make a tiny tiny profit.

simply not worth the hassle.

but as already mentioned, not sure i believe that mileage
the engine bay doesnt not look fresh enough imo.

plus iis clear the spoiler and wheels have been updated, so not original to the car. who would do that if only doing a few miles a year.

if this was a rev5 tbar, all options, GT spec, still wouldnt be worth that with the mileage, and that would be MUCH more desirable to a collector in 20years time than a 95 SMG hardtop.

SMG, and the champagne colour 2s do seems to suffer from the body colour issues.

Sometimes cars give you a vibe ... and I'm just not feeling it ...especially at that price ... i would defiantly want to see service history to confirm mileage .

I was told the difference in paint between the bumper and body was due to Toyota painting them in different places in the factory.

Amazing that they could release the car like that for sale! The match is as close as chalk and cheese. :lol:

I'm pretty sure that's been clocked...

I see cars going through the auctions all the time with a * or $ next to the milage (* means milage query, $ is definitely clocked) either due to having clocks replaced, or altered.. I'd hazard a guess this is one of those cars.

and £22.5k? are they smoking crack? really nice Turbos with big specs and low kms go through the auctions for 5-600k JPY (between 5750-6500 OTR over here)

dealer prices in japan are crazy.. there's some wanting £35k for r32 skylines etc..

Contact an importer. Most of them will be able to sort this out for you.

858000 jpy @ 170/£ = £5047 FOB (free on board- i.e de registered and sat in the docks)

shipping = £600

duty = £565

vat = £1042

unloading fee at UK docks = £125

MOT = £40

foglight = £20

registration & 6 months VED = £265

pair of number plates £20

= £7724 on the road if you do it ALL yourself.. plus you can add £90 if you use a customs agent over here, then money to pay for it to be trailered from the docks, another £300 or so for an alarm..

then if you pay the likes of JM imports etc to bring it in for you they will slap their £2k or so on top..

if that's worth £10k i'll sell you mine for £9999 cause it's just as clean and much better spec

for what it's worth, that probably went through the auctions for 450-550k max
