Mongoose exhaust? Bearable daily?
Just wondering if the mongoose exhaust is ok as a daily and that it's not a bit of fun for a few weeks and then gets unbearable as many exhaust these days get like that... (mostly found on civics )
Re: Mongoose exhaust? Bearable daily?
Ignore me... posted a mk2 answer to a mk1 question. Fail
Re: Mongoose exhaust? Bearable daily?
The Mongoose on the Mk1 is very civilised, one of my favourite of all the exhausts I've owned.
It does make a bit of noise when you get the revs up but nothing too raucous.

Re: Mongoose exhaust? Bearable daily?
And sorry I have just been looking into this and the magnex exhaust seems to be much the same is it? Thanks 👍
Re: Mongoose exhaust? Bearable daily?
the MK1 Magnex & Mongoose are pretty much the same to look at and in sound. I have a Magnex and it's very civilised, same as LimeyMk1's description of the Mongoose
Re: Mongoose exhaust? Bearable daily?
Magnex no longer exists as an independent firm
They were taken over by Mongoose, who now sell both
I have a Magnex. Am very happy with it

Re: Mongoose exhaust? Bearable daily?
I run a mongoose. Civilised is a perfect term for what it is. Perfecly bearable for DD, long journeys, whatever.

Tim Cartledge has a Magnex for sale
