The silicone ones that i replaces the old tired ones with were too long to fit onto the car, so i had to trim them down a little. Which i believe was the cause to a small trickle from them when the thermostat opened. So they went in the bin and were replaced with two brand new ones from Toyota.
They are a million times more snug and a lot easier to fit! 
Managed to bleed the radiator up just fine with no leaks!
