Haha no problem. I want it so much. Spent 5 years trying. He has asked me to find a value. Also finish sorting mine and get it sold now I think.

Haha yes I hope so too. New cambelt and water pump going on this week then work out the issue.

erm. about £50... i'll be over to pick it up with the cash shortly..

:oldtongue:

I'd say about 4k for that due to rarity but it depends alot on the quality. If he really wants to sell it i'm pretty sure he's got a price in mind.

At the end of the day the price of a second hand car especially one like this are really up to what the seller and buyer want to pay. I think it is pretty special So make him an offer and see what he says..

£4000 to £5500 big gap but many variables.

IMO - that's a real nice piece of work (the turbo conversion)
Haven't gone nuts for too much power, good turbo, good ECU - whoever did it was competent.
There's probably another 60-80 bhp in there.
(Was Beams around 200bhp in NA form ?)

Many other variables to factor in though - shell, suspension, etc...
4k-5k if all looks well.

Yeah like I say I have known the car for years even before it had this engine. It was built by Rogue well Patrick. My brother asked me to try and find out what it could be worth since I have wanted it for over 5 years! It is a real animal makes my rev3 seem slow.

How much was the conversion ? Bet that cost a bit...

I'm honestly not sure. I believe the for sale thread is still on this forum. On top of the sale price there were other costs due to him wanting to keep the aircon and a few other special requests.

A good beams car has a premium on its own - I suspect (don't tell your brother) you could advertise that to the general public for £7k+ and get interest....

There is no way I would try to decieve him and when the time comes I will show him this thread if he's not already watching haha. I think the general consensus is no one really knows and it's probably worth whatever someone will pay on the day.

A known member on here has just sold his other rev 5 turbo for £6100. That's at least worth the same!

If it's a beams chassis (1997-1998 G-Limited) then that alone is worth £4000-5000.

Beams turbo are quite common on the Altezza but even then the owners add £4000 on for the value of the turbo kit, there's only about 5-10 turboed beams MR2s in the world.

I'd run a few mechanical checks on the engine; check the COPs to start off with as they are expensive (£110 each), a full head gasket/belt service will easily run you to £500-700 in just parts.

I'd price that at £10000 looking to come down to around £8000, it's rare enough that I've yet to see one of these for sale; mainly cause when a person buys it they keep it.

This of course is only if it's an original from factory beams, otherwise it's worth same as a Rev3 turbo.

On a side note, I'd be curious to see how the map is set up just for comparisons sake with mine.

Looking at the dyno graphs I'd want the map checking anyway...they just don't look right to me :-k

It is indeed a rare beast, but if priced at £10k it just wouldn't sell...unfortunately our cars (no matter how rare) simply aren't worth that much currently. If we were to have this discusion in 5 years time things might be different 8)

Why is that ? Age or are they really that different?
