can't wait to have a poke around this car - it's a pretty quick quick turn-around on all the track mods. do you have a 2-post lift or a pit, Pete?

well it has been a struggle, snapped bolts, brake line issues
but got there in the end and its back on the ground

new front strut brace is on its way from peter gidden too

the first brake lines i ordered didn't have the right bracket for it to be secure so i ordered goodridge (like i normally do)
old one
Image
so fitted the goodridge

still had problems in that the new suspension didn't have the clips to hold the brake lines in place.. i wasn;t happy cable'tiing them into position
so i stayed late at work today and made some brackets up, very string and not moving anyhere, wheels on full lock and all is good no pulling/rubbing etc

rest of suspension fitted and the ARB's done, also exhaust

and bot it handles.. no roll
not too low, didn't want too low as it ruins handling

feels great muchoes improvment :thumleft: :thumleft: :thumleft: :thumleft:      :thumleft: :thumleft: :thumleft:

Well not updated this in a while..

my laptop is back and GO-Pro currently converting the files and i'll upload when i get home

Blyon was the first proper run out in the car with its new setup, and it was brilliant, after much fettling on the saturday trackday with the assistance of Phil and advice from Adrian, the car was feeling great on the track
although it was very very wet..

All day i had been getting a slight knocking noise.. was searching all the suspension parts i had fitted and could not find anything

Move to the Sunday Sprint day.

Out of the hotel to find there had been a flood.. and the water inthe car park had go high enough to fill my car over the drivers seat!!!

after some help from phil and a drill we had a lot of it out, got the car over to blyton and stripped the interior out, drained the rest of the water, put seats back in with no carpet as it was ruined, and had a wet bum all day

Also took wheels off to remove all leaves and twigs from the brakes, and check all the suspension for the mystery knock (althogh it had sounded like it was more centre of the car) managed all this before the brief at 9am

got out done the practice laps, instantly what a make over the car has had on feel and poise ont he road compared to last tiem on the sprint.. it really felt great and the times showed..

then just after lunch. i got my quickest time (.6sec off first place), then the next run Disaster strikes again!!!
the knock showed it self and stripped both bolts out of the gearbox engine mount, bu88er

If that hadn't arrived then who knows i might of managed that little extra for first.. i can but hope..
But i had dome enough to secure second place and was going to miss my last 3 runs..

But then the heavens opened and track was shut for an hour..
was so wet no faster times were going to be set and the track was opened instead for run times, people done this while i went about trying to repair the car so i could get it home..

and that was a mission, every service station stopping to jack car up and do bolts back up again.. but some how managed it

Luckily i have a turbo breaking at home with sime solid polybush engine mounts,

So i Drilled and tapped out the stripped threads and fitted the front mount, then changed the rear too.. What a huge differnce it makes to the feel of the car.. be a good test on saturday when we have snetterton..

Also a new addition to the family..
Due to the breakage of the car, i didn't like the idea of going to croft, breaking it not being able to get home and charged lots of money to get it home. so considered getting a trailer for the car. But the ST won't tow need a big car and trailer. really didn't want to get another car aas such.. so found this locally..

and yep zombie stickers on the way for it :)

Looks great, Pete. I can't wait to get in on this TSS lark. Perhaps next year.

How loud did the exhaust measure? Apologies if that was covered earlier, I just skimmed again!
