I've always fancied a go at doing this. Looks great fun.

How much money does all this cost (track time, petrol etc)

Not a lot of traction on wet grass is there ? I have been off at that exact same spot twice and both times were in the dry  so don't feel bad - its very unnerving when that tyre wall is approaching and you can see the marshall getting ready to duck!

Keep an eye out for this!!

In terms of costs, Castle Combe cost me:

Day ticket: £129
Full tank of Super: £50
Bacon sarnie and cup of tea: £4

You can also have tuition for £20, and if you do more than a handful of stints you'll need a second tank of fuel. Plus there's increase in tyre- and brake-wear to bear in mind.

How come £129? Is that from early booking?

Looks like you all had fun. I love (and hate) seeing the mr2's on track. The pics look great. Really disappointed to have missed it, but no time at the minute :(

just have this niggling thought that if I rip out the wiring, then the car will never get out of the garage again.

Still in the garage...

You could just say if you own a tubby you'll need a second tank of fuel! :eye:

Checked the oil this morning and i'd lost 1/4 on the dipstick, not too bad the amount of smoke the damn thing was chucking out on idle. Didnt helpt that as soon as I got back into london I got stuck in a traffic jam

Once I have the new turbo on and have sorted out my brakes i'd definitely be up for another trackday. I realy fancy doing brands, mainly because its so near to me!

Might be my memory playing tricks, but I'm fairly sure that's what I paid direct on the Javelin site... :-k

Was a great day though, shame not to see you! I'm sure we'll end up on track together at some point :)

It was £159 when I looked last week, not much difference though.

I found in the old car that I needed about 2 tanks of fuel and a lot of tread off the tyres pretty much summed up the cost of a day. Plus trailer hire if you're not prepared to chance drivin to the day...
