Preparing for a winter track day.

Post by Scott Barton »

Off to Brands Hatch on Saturday with a few others and dawned on me I have never done a track day in the winter months!

Any tips on tyre pressures, settings on my TEIN suspension via the EDFC would be greatly appreciated. The weather is not looking too promising at the moment so will probably be tip toeing around anyways!

Make sure your wipers work :)

I don't mind wet trackdays, they wear your tyres less!

Hey
Its was very wet
But did go very well.. Just go at your own pace and learn the car on track
We have one next week at Bedford

As for pressures I was chatting to the instructor at brands and it all depends on the car and feel best thing is take a pump with you
You want around 32/34 in the tyres straight after you come in and they are really hot

If you haven't got grip the whole time you are out up the pressures
If you have grip and the more you are out the less grip you get you need to lower them

That's the basis I am working off and it worked very well at brands last week
