Cheers mate.

Well been busy buying some treats for the car.

firstly some new indicators as i much prefer them over the clears, especially on darker cars

Image[/img]

Some suspension plates from Ebay. Gonna give them a lick of paint before i fit them

Image[/img]

Next thing I Bought was MT90, Reading through a few posts on Here, I decided to buy some, going to replace the oil on Saturday/Sunday

Image[/img]

With Regards to the above i heard it was a bit of a struggle getting the oil into the gearbox straight from the bottle so rather than going to old hose and funnel method, I bought one of these.

Image[/img]

Next thing on the List was something to clear the condensation in the car with the heaters on, Ive tried leaving the car on with the heater full belt for a bit and all it does is warm the car up, But soon as its damp or raining outside its a nightmare inside, So hoping this will help.

Image[/img]

Apologies for the phone pictures, I'll take some better ones that need it when i fit them.

Hi mate, hows it going? If you get my number of aaron, I'll pop up and show you, Got a few questions for you.

Fitted a Cusco brace that i got of Julian. Please excuse the dirty bay!

While the weather was dry i gave the wheels a quick going over with some metal polish, Just give them a quick going over, Going to have to get stuck into them and get them sealed up before the months out

Used some polish from carbon collective and will be using there wheel sealant too. Few people I know have been using the same products and have had great results.

Well after reading a few horror stories about the foam in the sills I decided to remove mine.

Quickly whipped the trims off and reached in to pull them out, about as easy as your going to get.

Luckily for me they were bone dry and looks like they have been forever, result :D

Image

Whilst the trim pieces were off I quickly stuck some Dynamat on that i had lying over form a previous project, I know that is meant to go on the opposite side of the speaker but I'm not trying to create any improvement in sound quality I'm basically trying to eliminate some of the rattles  I know quite a lot of people go the opposite way by removing excess weight etc but the sound deadening that i have added weighs no more than 1-2kg at the most. And is quite easily reversible.

Image

Also while the panels were off i noticed that i had pioneer speakers, That normal?

Next thing on the list to do is engine oil and gearbox oil change

Another boring updated, got round to polishing and sealing my wheels today, but they'll need split and redone before the summer. And I'll most likely put them up for sale, trying to source some nice buddy club or advan wheels but with similar offsets

Thanks guys

Bought and fitted a cusco rear brace. Going to put the oem black hoses back on as i've went of the blue ones. Going to slowly replace them with black silicone. Hopefully over the next few weeks going to paint the intercooler pipework black.

Anyway pictures of the brace.

After trying to locate my steering wheel wobble at around 55/60 mph, i discovered that i had play in the inner rod end. Replaced that which has helped ever so slighty but hasn't cured my problem :(

Image

Next on the list. Since changing my steering wheel to a dished type it has stopped me from being able to reach the stalks and indicate etc.
Whipped the boss off chopped a few inches off. Dressed the edges and prepped ready for welding. Got it welded, ground and fettle then gave it a lick of black paint before refitting. Had to shorten the rubber shroud that goes round the boss.

Jobs a good'un.

Next thing was to try and fit a cable from the cd changer port on the alpine head unit to audio jack. Unfortunately it doesn't work. My error in ordering the part. Its for the cdm9823R model and mine is only the cdm9823 :( anyway while the head unit was out i re-routed a few cables for the EDFC and the boost controller to tidy things up. Not that you can see them but i know they are there.

Excuse the phone camera photographs and the dirty car!

And yes that is a roll cage in the c2 in the back ground, its being built (not by me) for european rally cross championship. Still in progress but you can see the custom cage and hydraulic handbrake.

Image

FIA approved bucket seat, another angle of the cage, the red box isnt a better box, theres a small fuel cell inside.

Next time i'll take some pictures with my digital camera.

Nothing major to update this week.

Organised my service and general history into a poly-pocketed folder.

Come across a certificate of what looks likes a recipt for a apexi N1 muffler. Probably took off long before i bought the car but nice bit of infomation none the less.

Is that numbered disk a 'shaken' sticker (japanese mot)?
If it is, are you interested in keeping it? I've been looking but cant find them anywhere

if you mean something like this. IIRC they are tax discs and not MOT "Shaken"

Image

i thought shaken was...

Image

Then i don't really know. Mine hasnt got a number in the middle, and is made from card, the one pictured (and most others) are like a vinyl/sticker.

Just get onto any graphics company and they will be able to replicate one for you.
