UK Car, Tax Dec 13

/ MOT Nov 13, Sunroof, PAS, ABS.

I bought the car in January 2010 with the intention of it being a track toy

(and to offset the tedium of a Saab diesel), however I've only managed one day at Bedford

(which was superb!) in 2010.

Since then it's been used as a weekend car and for a few road trips to Scotland.

Always garaged and rarely taken out in the winter and rain.

I am selling due to changing jobs which has enabled me to ditch the diesel and buy a clio 182 as a daily drive so the MR2 is going to get very little use now and will sit in the garage until it sells.

In my ownership it has had the following done

(mostly by Luke

@ Pacific Works):
Jan 2010

- Polybushed suspension all round
Feb 2010

- Replacement Rev4 engine with

~86k on the clock

(bought from GTS Chris).

Timing belt

& clutch done at the same time
May 2010

- New Mongoose Cat back exhaust

& decat pipe fitted
Sep 2010

- CRN Grooved discs, yellow stuff pads and braided lines all round
October 2012

- Both front callipers replaced.

Other bits:
Jap Spec Performance induction kit

16" Alloys

(unknown brand) with 4 good tyres.

Rears are Falken FK452, Fronts Michelin's

- all have plenty of tred.

Still have the original wheels which will come with the car if you want them but the tyres on them are knackered.

Sony headunit
Clear side repeaters

Mechanically all is sound as far as I know, I've only done about 12k miles in the last 3 years.

The Engine pulls well, brakes are immense and handling is spot on.

Recently did a 1500 mile trip around the highlands and it never missed a beat.

Odometer shows 118000 miles, with the replacement engine on

~97k.

Very occasionally there is a crunch changing up from 2nd to 3rd, only seems happens when cold and is not all the time though.

Bodywork is ok for a 19 year old car.

The sills are a bit rusty, as are the bottom of both doors.

There is some slight bubbling around the top of the windscreen as well.

The front bumper has obviously been changed at some point before I bought it as well; some of the white paint has flaked off and is red underneath.

Other than that its not too bad

all arches are rust free and its pretty clean underneath.

Ive spent quite a lot of money over the last few years fixing bits and pieces and will be sad to see it go.

Car is located in Hemel Hempstead.

Thanks,
Richard.
