My Rev2 Turbo!

Post by Gaz »

Bought this last August, it's pretty rough round the edges but it was cheap! Drove it standard until the MOT ran out in November then left it sitting in my parents' garage and did a little bit of tinkering. Put it through MOT a few weeks ago just to see what it needed fixed and it flew through first time!

I've added Tein Superstreet coilovers, got my wheels (some 3 piece Japanese rim that were on it when I bought the car, no idea what they are but I like them!) refurbed, and a few other wee bits and pieces too. Exhaust is a Toyosports one, stupidly loud but I love it! Really good fun to drive, I have a little boost leak at the minute so I'll be getting that sorted then I'm thinking about doing the Rev3 headgasket, ECU, sensors, CT20b turbo etc etc just to give me some more cheap power! I also have 15mm spacers all round waiting on go on, I tried to put them on today but I have the wrong bolts :( Did a test anyway and it really brings the wheels out to the arches nicely.

Looks similar to what mines will look like when i get it back

Are u going to get the arches rolled as its sitting quite nice at that height but with spacers might rub? :-k

Wow, that looks low!

Do you purposely avoid speed humps?

If I need to roll them I will. I don't think I will though. Test fitted one on the front and I should get away with it. Going to be replacing my 205s on the rear with 195s too so that should give me a little bit of clearance.

And yes, I tend to try avoiding speedbumps where I can. I've been driving stupidly low cars for about 6 years now though so I have learned the best methods of taking them lol.

You could always get the rear arches rolled and put wider tyres on for a proper staggered fitment.

They already are staggered, the fronts are 7s and the rears are 8s. There's currently a huge difference in tyre sizes though, fronts are 165s and the rears are 205s. Simply because I had too much tread on these tyres to just throw away!

But they'll be done soon and I can get some 195s on. If I do need the arches rolled though I'll certainly do it. Just going to see if I can get away with it first!
