start up without afm

can someone tell me if the rev2 turbo will start up without the airflow meter hooked up, or even do a test!

Depends what EMS your using - stock ECU ... probably not.

Different EMS with appropriate map sensor in place yes

i was gonna try a start up with old ecu! and no afm!

thor are doing a basic setup of my ecu on a mr2 they have coming in next week, then they will send it to me for me to wire in, but in the meantime i nwas gonna try and start her on my old ecu

I really wouldnt bother fella. Ask a friendly mr2 owner tounplug there AFM and try starting their car. You have a ££££ engine there, dont mess about trying the initial start up fella

It wont start james.. I mean momentarily, it'll fire then cut out.. you won't get the revs up on it.

cheers fellas, just one more thing! thor said they are gonna use the gltd that they have coming in next week to do a very basic setup on my link ecu, they say this will fire up my engine for someone with some tuning ability to then make it drivable so i can run her in, does this sound plausable fellas! i mean a G ltd, i said r u sure that it will work, he said, yes, so im running with the idea but still a bit aprehensive!
