Haha :D I thought I'd gotten away with no one noticing the fact I'd spent 10 minutes looking around for those ;)

Plaese.. someone tell me as im getting one next... and im moving form a tubby.. :-k

That'll have been DoM - he used to have a Mk1SC, and come on the IMOC Nurburgring trip, hence the guest invite to Elvington.

I didn't get a passenger ride in it this time, but at the 'ring it was impressive - smooth effortless revving (to 8.5k?), but without the same torque you get from forced induction ..

Ahh yes.. 8.5k redline according to my research ... been for a quick spin in a DC2 and it was nippy but obviously a totally different experiance to the Tubby..

So how did it perform around the ring.. as i shall be taking one next year.. :eye: I was there in March with the TOC lads.. and it was a great laugh.

Integra's are fantastic fun on road & track. The acceleration isn't really close to a tubby but the noise is addictive and the engine is relentless, it always seems to pull with the same amount of oomph even after 30 laps of the ring! With new disks and pads the brakes are pretty strong and don't fade at all.

There's lots of feedback through the steering wheel, brakes and your backside, so you always know what the car is doing, and everything is perfectly weighted and positioned. The chassis is good but if you've come from a MR2 you will need to change your driving style a fair bit.

In the slow corners the front end tends to scrable for grip under acceleration, although the LSD means it kind of pulls you into the corner rather than understeering off. Through the fast corners you can play with the throttle and brake to tuck the front end in / get the back out. If you want to do a bit of gooning then a touch of the brakes as you turn in gets the tail wagging out nicely!

Had great fun on Saturday, thanks to Lauren & Ben and anyone else who helped organise it. Thanks to Chris too for a fun passenger lap in his MK1.

I watched lots of MK1's spinning, Lauren, Mark and another one while my friend was driving which caused me to nearly have a heart attack! Had lots of fun around the first left hander and the long corner before the back straight - on full opposite lock a few times!

It was good fun following Megatron's Mega-Wheelspin Escort, big black lines left after every corner =D>

I aim to please.. \:D/ It was top quality fun gooning around like that, though in all fairness it's pretty difficult to keep it fairly tidy as it's really tail happy; most of the corners were in 3rd or 4th gear, and it still managed to wag the back end and mark it's territory!

Next on the shopping list is a brake servo (nope! it doesn't have one!), and a new set of tyres. I'm also considering my options for suspension in the future - probably a coilover conversion on the front Billies and maybe turreted and a 5 link rear end - it would make adjusting the height of the suspension really easy.

huzzah, you've got a pic of me and ChrisW preparing for our first outing (the suspiciously fast "sighting lap")!:

Thought it might be worth adding for any that missed Mark's post that he took some good piccies and also had access to the inside of the circuit. He also has an uberswan camera with BFO zoom lens:

Liz was really chuffed that Mark got a couple of excellent pics of our car when she was driving it - much displayed at work today apparently =D>

Did anyone get any shots of my car on track? (Black MK3 turbo with grey wheels) Looking through the archives that have been posted I can't see a single one, and would like something to print out :(

Sean, not a pic as such - I've got some video footage following you, and then you spinning out at that 90 degree right hander, 2nd corner after the pit line exit - once its encoded I'll drop you a line :)

Thanks Ben - it will be interesting to see from the spin clip which cones a) put a nice red / white striping effect on my front bumper and b) put a nice dent in my offside front wing!

 I didn't realise you'd collected a cone like that. Hope with some T-Cut the scuff marks come out ...

I'm doing the videos now and so will drop you a line later with the footage. You can see you spin off to the right and out of the video..

LOL! The marks did T-cut out, but the dent will be harder work - will look forward to the vid :)
