After googling and getting mixed answers of turning wheels dont work and do work, and a bar is and isnt a lsd I thought i would ask. I have a LSD according to my chassis plate but no idea after 23 years if its still a lsd.
So here is a picture of the box

anyone help as i need a new shaft and dont want to get the wrong one.

That is an OEM LSD.

Semi thread hijack - is there a way of telling other than by the VIN plate without the shaft removed?

Park your car with one wheel on the road and the other on wet grass. Pull away ...enthusiastically. If you don't move and the wheel on the grass just spins uselessly you don't have an LSD

Rarely works to any effect with a viscous LSD.

Only real way of telling is to pull a shaft.
