MOT news...

Post by munter »

Passed. No advisories!

Must say I'm very pleased.

Have decided to keep the car and get the underside cleaned up and sealed and the alloys refurbed asap.

Had the arches/wing panels looked at and the professional option is to patch the small number of rust spots as they are a long way from needing replaced.

So a little bit of tidying up and she'll be ready for the summer months again!

Happy days.

Oh man... I guess the SC belt really was loose!!

Seriously almost lost control flooring it out of a roundabout on to the main dual carriageway here in Dundee. The change in boost beyond 4k rpm is nuts. The supercharger is whiring like a mad thing and the acceleration is everything I'd ever hoped for. It finally has that "pushed back into your seat" sensation.

Awesome - can't believe I've driven it for more than 6 months with it seriously underpowered!

Thanks for all the congratulations it really is a relief to know all the hard work on it is paying off. The only thing the mechanic mentioned was that the steering rack has a little bit of play in it. Nothing to be too concerned about right now, but something worth noting for the future. Not sure what's involved in fixing that? Was thinking I might get poly bushes put in when I get the underside sealed so sounds like something to address then.

For now I'm smiling like a cheshire cat ;-)

I'm up in Dundee next month, if your around I'd love to see the car, I had a sc conversion years ago but always regretted not going for the pulley kit #-o. Sounds awesome :thumleft:

Good stuff!

Reminds of me when I did the pulley mod back in '06:

If you can't see the angle, you're in trouble.
