The ECU's are different as well, the G-lim is speed limited, I don't think the UK version was? Not sure if they have different maps for fuel/ emmisions? The clocks/ dials are different as well.

Climate control and folding mirrors are the main ones that stick in my mind

Gt-i is the UK NA(Excluding the Coupe 3S-FE) and G-Limited the most common Import NA.
The difference is most of the comparisons you might have seen on here between imports and Domestic MR2's.
A few better features on the G-Limited, like Air con,folding mirrors, Brake light above rear window, BEAMS engine in the Rev 5 G-Limited and some other things I probably don't even know of.

UK cars also have headlight level adjustment, and a different switch (and I think a dash indicator) for rear fog lights.
Other silly bits and bobs- toblerone indicators on some ages of import MR2, not on UK models. Obviously Jap spec plates...
Operationally they are the same car. They say imports are less rust prone, but a lot of MR2s these days are rusting regardless of their origin. Plus, what's the difference if it was imported in 2003? Still spent nine years here!!
