[Mk2] [NA] Gearbox Seal

Post by KurtSmart »

Ive got a slow leak coming from the gearbox, after alot of searching im hazarding a guess its the seal, now ive ordered one part number ending in 19.

Is it the same for both sides? (93 mk2 n/a)
and how bd of a job is it to do yourself?

Cheers

I presume you're referring to 90311-35019, driveshaft oil seal. Both sides are the same for N/A gearboxes.

Easy enough job - drain gearbox, remove driveshaft, prise out old seal, carefully fit new seal, refit driveshaft, refill with oil.

loosen the filler plug before draining box as they can be a PITA to undo :thumleft:
