genuine oil filter will come with a sump plug washer.

if you have a std airbox/filter maybe change that too, or clean the after market one

The service manual details everything that should be checked you can download a copy here: http://manual.teq.org/

In addition to what has already been detailed I'd also thoroughly inspect the brakes, check for any stuck pistons/sliders, any leaks, check condition of the brake lines, pads and discs. At the same time check the suspension dampers for leaks and suspension components for wear.

Also check the oxygen sensor is functioning properly and replace if needed.

Apologies for bringing back a thread from the dead - but I did use the search function!

Quick one - got a good list from the above about what the essential service parts are - just wondering what specific brands are generally recommended?

For example, I own a gen7 celica and on the celica club, K&N panel filters are the part of choice and recommended above anything (induction kit or genuine toyota part)

This is what im going to start buying up:

-Iridium Spark Plugs - ??
-Oil Filter - ??
-Oil - done
-Distributor Cap - OEM
-Rotor arm - OEM
-Distributor o ring - OEM
Sump plug washer - OEM
Air filter -??
Gearbox oil - Redline Mt-90
Distributor o ring seals (only takes 5 mins) - OEM
Rocker cover seals - OEM

Cheers guys :thumleft:
