Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Starting build
I think this is a good design for even flow to all cylinders but just had to do the mods to make it better.
Do you have any photos of the RS200 one?

Basically they look like yours but have 8 injectors and can flow 650bhp for the std 2.1ltr evo car
- up to around 800bhp on 3 bar boost for rally X use during 1989.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

(no link sorry).![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
The std road car 250bhp BDT inlet manifold with a smaller T/B runs 4 injectors and can still flow enough air for over 560bhp on a 1.8ltr engine with the std size turbo.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Works rally cars ran 420bhp during 1986 to keep the bottom end rev range driveable.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

Hope this helps

Re: [Mk2] [Turbo] Starting build
How did that break?
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
You can see the parts I have cut off in that photo.
Its all a bit of a mess with them sticking up in the air off the base.
I will still have the bell mouths but down on the base and not raised up

Great pics,
They are the KARA replica using a cossie YB engine, the RS200 plenum was welded to the cossie YB runners, which have the ram pipes about 25mm proud.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
All well done though by the look of it.
I dont know if the evo cast is thicker, I've seen a few std BDT inlets but didnt measure them, its a great opportunity to look inside though
- the perfect cutaway.![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)

& Johns cars! did you work on Trevor Hopkins too by any chance?

Martin and John both came round to my house to pick up some nitrous fuel solenods to use on their Escorts with the US pinto 2.2 L engines.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Martin had two IHI turbos off me to fit to his V6 road car Ford had given him.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Also sized us some turbos for the race cars.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
No never did anything with Trevor but had a very long talk with Will Gollop when he was racing his Saab

This is what I have fitted. Its for lowered cars and I ran it all last year and made up a lot of time on Steve.
I also fitted a Rev1 rear cross member, far better than the Rev2 and later if you know how to drive a rear wheel drive car

![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
Its all to do with the tracking control arms.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
The Rev1 has better control in the bends but when it does let go its very lucky if you can get it back.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
With so many spining their cars Toyota made changes from Rev 2 on so that it is easier to get the back in line if it lets go but to me the feeling of control has gone.
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
![](./images/smilies/spacer.gif)
My Rev 2 was never as nice to drive as my Rev 1 but with all the changes it is just great now and I can get the back in even when its 45 deg out of line.
