Dont forget crazylegs spent a decent sum on that sherwood auto sc. Which changed gear mid corner and stuck him inva tree. And it was no more.

Oh yes, he did didn't he? Forgot all about it.

It sounds like a mk1a with a red stripe these were resonably common TBH

But Black mk1b's, that is a different kettle of fish all together, it was an option of around £1500 because I think it was metalic black.

There are around 12 black mk1b's known to the mk1 club.

Gunmetal grey is probably the rarest colour, again £1500 option (UK car) only about 4 or 5 known to exist still.

Chris.

I was told that my Ice Blue metalic car cost extra Chris :?:

Didn't realise it was as much as £1500

Yeah mega bucks twenty plus years ago, infact Gunmetal was only available for it seems just a few months in 1988

Silver Ice blue metalic and Mica Blue were extra cost but not as much as Gunmetal or metalic Black, something to do with more coats of paint or so I was told,

Red and white were no extra cost hence why there are loads more.

Think of this I have a genuine UK car with FULL climate control (not just aircon with the button) sold to a Toyota UK employee and seemingly the climate control was £1800 before his discount and he got it for £1200
Mk1b White T-bar SC 1987, Mk1b White coupe Jan90, Mk1b White coupe Jan90 (spares), Mk1b Mica blue T-bar Mar90, Mk1b Mica blue T-bar,full climate control,Jan90, 5 mk1's :)

If I ever do a full respray on the SC I'd certainly consider that.

Very nice.

No, no, no don't do it! SC's were never in this colour!

I guess it's a matter of personal taste really. Not a fan of anything that involves green myself! ;)

Kev Crazylegs Crane had a Sherwood toning SC (though not for long) seems we have found a little gap in your knowledge here Lauren
Black MK1s are less uncommon (if that makes any sense?) in 1A form but are very rare in 1B and super rare in 1B T bar, Black SC now they are either rarer than rare or never existed, gap in my knowledge here
Black witha red pinstripe in the original post will be a 1A

i've got a '88 Mk1b T-Bar in black, presumably 202 non metalic black
should i consider my rustbucket rare? :) if so, i shall put back toyota's 202 during respray instead of spraying it with some sort of other black (merc's obsidian or melanite black) :D

the guy collected his black mk1 yesterday, had a chat regarding the rareness, seems hes owned it for 18 years, and its garaged pretty much most of the time.

was tempted to offer him a few quid for it

I've never seen any of these colours on the road but have seen a SORNed Sherwood in a barn once, don't know if it was ever repaired.

One of my friends had a Sherwood a couple of years ago

I have a metalic Mk1a and know of only one other belonging to Jonathan in Leicester. Photos of mine in Garage they do need a bit more upgrading. But yes they are rare particularly 204M Black.

its only 40 miles from me, I might have a bid. As I do like the black mk1s
