Anglesey GP £200 with BaT. Saturday 7th April

Post by Lauren »

Ben (our leader) is still alive, yes, really and to celebrate he's doing a trackday, his first in seven years(!).

So there is no way we can let him out all on his own, so a few of us have booked up to keep him company.

It is also hopefully the grand unveiling of a certain person's kit car, which is a worth a trip alone IMO.

I will be there hoping not to melt yet more pistons in the AE86, this time without plastic tyres. :+:

Here's the detail:

Come on you know you want to.

Hotel Mark and Lauren is open too. We live near Manchester airport and on the way to Angesey for anyone coming up from the south. Free ear and face cleaning service provided by Indy.

Ooh, that's tempting. I'm missing a day at Oulten this Tuesday as I can't get time off work! Can be a 30th celebration for me as well!! Ha!

I want to do this but worried about my car being too noisy and it's also my first track day. Is this a decent place for beginners?

Angers is a great place for beginners, Lee.

I've driven it a lot, perhaps too much really. There is tons of run off and it's not very technical so you are less likely to get yourslef in too much trouble.

105db is a pretty high noise limit.

Damn clashing of dates, I'd love to do this again (and I'm owed an 86 lesson in drifting) but supposed to be at thorpe park that weekend.

Was just thinking, if Steve and Lee are coming, does this mean meet up and McDonald's Brekkie at Chester? :lover:

Alex, bring a helmet and you can sign on as a passenger for free! Then you can get loads of rides etc with everyone. Could be fun!

Also could give you a ride in the AE86 if you're lucky.

Obviously this depends if the car is sorted in time, which i hope it is, would also give me a nice long run also!
Dont tell me to bring the helmet, the last trackday i went to i wore all the kit on the drive there, it was hilarious, i stopped at the services and everybody stopped and stared at me wearing helmet, gloves and boots!

LOL!

Well, if you can get your car sorted you can meet us at Chester services for McD's brekkie and then convoy the rest of the way with us. :+:
