My friend is 21 and has a Triumph TR7 insured as classic. Will find out who from and get back to you!

All sorted.

Called Footman James and got them to state its a Supercharger under the model definition plus notes added that its a factory standard automatic Japanese import.

New policy documents sent out and very good service all round. :thumleft:

As Chris said better safe than sorry!

I'm sorted, just in time (and I'll get a free fluffy Meerkat  )!

Flux took the funds 4 days (3 working days) before the renewal date - I always forget and get them to refund me and get fined by the bank if I'm not on the ball. #-o ...I don't really think it's on so I've left them after 11 years.

Here are some figures...I'm 33, £950-worth of Mk2 UK Coupe, protected 11yr no claims, partner (27) as named driver, kept on drive, 5000m/yr, SP30 3pt/£60 last year, 3 mods (brakes / exhaust / alloys), driving for 14yrs, Sigma SG20 Thatcham Cat Two Alarm/Immobiliser.

Company / Quote / Excess / type

Flux / 412 / 250xs / TPFT
Footman James / 362 / 100xs / Comp
Compare the Market / 271 / 150xs / TPFT
Compare the Market / 376 / 150xs / Comp
Compare the Market / 280 / 150xs / TPFT
Go Compare / 328 / 150xs / TPFT
Sky / 414 / 300xs / TPFT
Tiger (call connect) / 432 / 300xs / Comp
Tiger (call connect) / 327 / 300xs / TPFT
Heritage>Norton / 427 / 200xs / Comp
Heritage>Norton / 369 / 200xs / Comp (just me)

The compare the market ones excluded glass cover (+£10) and personal injury (+£30) in TPFT, was normally included in Comp and with most of the other companies.

I added the glass and ended up with £294 TPFT with Admiral via Compare the Market. I had expected to get a better deal from a specialist and emailed all of them - next year I'll ring them all to give them a better chance and more time to get a good price! :thumleft:

Footman James and Sky did seem to have better cover for what it's worth, and Heritage even offered some trackday cover! Worth noting for next year! 8)
