broken front bumper latch with pics...some help needed..

Hi all, this is probably something stupid but as someone who usually gets garages to fix everything im trying to learn to fix the MK1 myself.

I was out swapping my front bumper over last night, just got for the rain to stop to get the new one on but when i was poking about in the area of the front bumper i noticed that my latch which holds the front bonnet down has a broken spring so no resistance.

Can i buy a new spring from Halfords or do i need to get one from a scrapped car?

Ive taken a picture as i know i waffle on a bit so hopefully the pic clarifies what im looking for.

Ive contacted a local scrappy who has a blue mk1 in, is there anything worth getting as spares whilst im there?

visited a scrappy who had 2 mk1s, one with a imoc sticker and the other with a 2brutal sticker and woodsport

Ha ha not really, a friend said A local scrappy had two in so I nipped along and found the spring, at first I thought I needed the whole assembly but the spring came off so that was ideal, unfortunately due to the rain I have not managed to get the new bumped on
