Terminal Velocity the charity track-day comprising of 1/4 mile drag racing and 1.5 mile speed runs, will be held this year on the 20th August 2005 at RAF Woodbridge, Suffolk.
The audience of petrol heads and party animals came for the weather, the cars and the sights and smells of tortured metal and rubber.
Everyone who attended the event managed more drag runs and top speed runs than they could possibly have hoped for, and by early afternoon the leaders were marking their professionalism and commitment clear, by working harder and harder to scrape extra hundredths of a second and tenths of a mile per hour.
This year the bar has been raised again, with several very heavily tuned 3000GT/GTOs, Supras and RX7s aiming to push the beautiful German machines harder and harder, and with the attendance of one of Maranello's finest performers in the shape of an F40, then we can expect records for the event to be smashed!! And of course several of the big BHP Skylines will no doubt have a definitive say in proceedings
