[Mk2] [Generic] RHD quick steer pinion and Powerflex steering rack bushings

Post by Marty J »

I am developing a rhd quick steer pinion for the mkII SW20 with power steering. I have also been helping Powerflex in the development of polyurethane bushings for the mkII power steering rack.

No prices as of yet, anybody interested ?

A group buy for the quick steer pinions is probably the best way to sell these at a reasonable price.

The Powerflex MR2 SW20 power steering rack bushes should be on the market in 2-3 weeks time.

If you guys are members on other MR2 forums and think you may know of others wanting this rhd quick steer pinion, then please let them know about it. The more people that are in a group buy the better the chances of it being cheaper to produce and sold.

It has not been made yet, but it will be in the region of 2.6 turns lock to lock.

Off the top of my head I think that it is 3.2 turns lock to lock.

I will give prices once I can access the group buy. I don't want to break any website rules.

I'm still waiting for a reply from speedy to see if I can post in the group buy section.

I got word back that the Powerflex steering rack bushes will be going into production at the end of this week.

You just need to sign up as a Premium member, you'll then have access to post in that section. :thumleft:

The first batch of Powerflex steering rack bushes have been produced and some testers are on their way to myself.

A set will also be trial fitted to a non-power steering rack SW20 MR2.

The bushes will fit in LHD cars?
My MR2 is LHD and I'm interested in the steering rack bushes.

Also, in some posts back is said that the LHD cars have a quick steer pinion available in USA, but the truth is that the LHD quick steer pinion was discontinued.

Is easy with the RHD designs produce a LHD quick steer pinion?
