Mondo's 1995 GT T-bar!

Post by Mondo »

Hi all,

There are a few people who'll know me from the Celica Club (as I have one of those too) but I'm here now as well as I've today purchased a toy for the summer:

*imagine a picture here, as I'm not allowed to link...* :?

She's a 1995 Rev 3 (I think) UK GT in Carribean Blue (possibly) and I think she's pretty nice! She's likely to remain fairly standard as the Celica's the more showy vehicle, but I will be upgrading her interior at some point (as I'm a retrimmer). Just need to decide on a colour scheme first...

Thanks, folks. :)

Barely 24 hours into ownership and I'm about to build a new gear gaiter... I can see this is going to be another money pit!

As I'm a trimmer by trade, it makes sense to do it myself. :) After that, I'll probably make a start on the storage section at the back of the cabin.

I'm not sure if I'm going to trim the entire cabin yet or not. Certainly, I'll be redoing the seats at some point. And no doubt making some leather roofbags too!

I've bunged a couple of pictures of the finished gaiter in my Garage for the time being. :)

Unlike most people in the North East who seem to have spent their Bank Holiday Monday getting ready to go and see Take That, I've been spending mine doing some more work on the interior. :D

I've finished the top lid on the storage box and I'll get to the front lid another day. Pictures are, as always, in my Garage (for 3 more posts, anyway....)

I can see that cars interior being a very nice place to be when you're done :thumleft:

That's certainly the plan. :) Not sure whether I'd use it as a showcase or not - that's more the Celica's job. At the very least, I'll be able to have it as a very nice second car though. :thumleft:
