Smacks self in face for the grammatical errror.

I think you're right though John, I find most car seats a bit big for my liking, so maybe I shouldn't complain that I've got a seat that fits me pretty well.

Everyone else who has driven it finds the seat a tad on the tight side.

LOL! I think it's more me being small rather than everyone else being a porker!

The Sailor found it tight and Mark does too.

Latest news, is that my rear boot 'Apex twin cam 16' and 'Sprinter Trueno' decals should be on their way over from Japan anytime soon. :)

Mark wanted black decals, but silver is the only option as black is not available, but it will be nice and subtle. Our friend at the parts desk reckons it's the right colour according to the chassis code, though we are still not 100% on the original colour of the car. We think it might have been a Panda Silver car, so silver instead of white but still with the black. If that's the case it's kind of a shame really as that is a colour combo I really like.

I'd rather get OEM ones if I can. Most of these need to be screen printed which is more expensive. They are actually only £9 each from Toyota!

In related news, had the cam covers off. HKS 264s are in there. :+:

Indeed!

Guesses on power output?

Spec:
K&N
4-1 manifold
Tanabe Medallion cat back
HKS 264 cams
Extra board in the ecu.

Rev limit (if there is one) is somewhere north of 8000rpm.

That's not a bad shout actually, I was thinking 160-170. Sweepstake time, I was thinking about organising another IMOC RR day

Make it so with the RR day. I do need to just get it checked before I track it. Tbh it runs so well I'd be amazed if anything like fueling was miles out, but better to be safe than sorry.

I'd say depending on using real fuel 99octane stuff, then it'd be reet & running 170!
RR day sounds fun (but make it more northern as I'm lazy!)

Gotta say IME 170 is unlikely, I will guess at 150 @ the fly - which, after all, would be very respectable.

I'd say 170 at the fly is unlikely 150 optimistic. I'd say 110-120 at wheels would be realistic and respectable. Looking forward to hearing how it does.

Yeah, I'm not sure what quite to expect. What I would say is that I'd be very happy if it had 140bhp at the flywheel.

The trouble is, I've been trying to compare it to my old MK1a NA (stock apart from air filter/exhaust), but that was somewhere around 4 years ago, so I'm not sure whether or not I can be accurate.

I would say though, it feels quick in a way that the MK1a didn't. Power is higher up the rev range, but it doesn't feel slow at the bottom end either. It spins up very nicely.

Been looking at Ueo stuff. Given I can't have a rollcage I've been looking at other ways of stiffening the chassis.

These look very good. Not cheap though:
