Mk2 Rev3 NA T-Bar in stunning condition and very nicely moddified, ONLY £2750

Post by jem »

I really didn't think I was ever going to start this thread, but I want to get this detailing lark off the ground so I'm going to need to throw some cash at it and get a more suitable vehicle for mobile detailing.

So the car:

1995 Toyota MR-2 T-bar 2.0GTi 16v, (UK car)
134,000 miles (don't be put off by this though, it really drives and handles very well indeed!)
12 months MOT (Expires 3rd Feb 2012)
4 months Road Tax
Full service history up to 100,000 miles. I bought the car at 115,000 miles and the oil was used but still fairly clean, so I know it had at least once service between 100k and 115k. Since then I have serviced the car myself (I'm a qualified mechanic) every 5000 miles. The gearbox oil was changed about six months ago and the cambelt was changed very soon after I bought the car at 115,000 miles.

The car is a 1995 Rev3 UK car so non-turbo. But it's making a healthy 174.8bhp and everything feels tight and like new. With a bore scope you can still see the honing marks on the bores! The car was resprayed in June last year so the paint is very good indeed, there are a couple of chips on the front bumper, but I will sort those this weekend. The interior is all perfect and the seats were retrimmed by myself in October 2009 and are still as new.

I bought the car in totally standard form, here's a list of everything I've fitted or modified since (I will most likely forget something though!):

Suspension
TEIN Superstreets with Pillowball topmounts (firm but not too firm for the road)
TEIN Electronic Damping Force Controler
TEIN Pillowball Front Tension rods
Powerflex polybushes (these are yet to be fitted, but you can have them in the box if you want them)
Whiteline Anti-Roll-Bars
Front strutbrace
Rota Torque 17x7.5 front, 17x8 rear wheels
Falken FK-452 tyres 215/40ZR17 and 245/35ZR17 (rears are very nearly new, and the fronts have plenty of tread left)
10mm hubcentric spacers on the front with longer studs to clear the TEIN Superstreets (black internal drive wheel nuts all round)
Grooved discs all round
Goodridge Stainless Braided Brake lines

Engine
K&N 57i intake
Blueflame exhaust including decat (I do have the standard cat)
Recently had a new coilpack, distributor cap and arm. Plugs are platinum genuine Toyota supplied.
Powerflex Polyurethane engine mounts

Exterior
Resprayed in June 2010, not because it needed it, but because I'm a fussy bu88er!
Carbon Fibre Rev5 style spoiler
Carbon Fibre side intakes
Side moulding colour coded to the wheels
Smoked front indicators and side repeaters
Front fog lights deleted and centre moulding removed
Aftermarket rear lights with 'quad light' conversion
Drivers side reversing light converted into fog light (due to losing the foglights in the 'quad light' conversion)
Debadged front and rear
Flat blade wiper blades

Interior
Seats retrimmed in leather and alcantara
Momo Quark steering wheel
Nice floor mats with securing device from a Mondeo to stop the slipping forward
TEIN EDFC mounted below the ignition lock (nicely out of sight, but easy to access while driving)
Head-Up-Display speedo (I can remove this if you prefer as it is currently just velcroed to the top of the dash)

Stereo
Kenwood DNX9240BT Double DIN Satnav/DVD/bluetooth hands free/MPG computer (a brilliant unit, but I'll give you the option on buying this with the car, see price below)
Edge 6.5" component speakers
Standard rear 10cm speakers

I think that's everything!

So a picture or two! (ignore the front foglights and the blue strip between them as they are not there anymore)

And I had forgotten something from the list of mods, just added Goodridge Stainless braided brake lines to the list :thumleft:

If the weather dries up, the cars getting a full detail this weekend. Not that it really needs it, but I want it to be top notch for the new owner. God I'm going to miss it though!

I would keep it it if I were you. Just been resprayed and you have it how you want it only to let it go....

Plus, you'll only buy another :-P

I've decided I can't part with this car, so it's not forsale, I've put too much time, money and soul into it and I love it too much to see someone drive it away.

If you REALLY want it, you can have it for £10,000
