Re: Mr2mkii 1994 hardtop
Nice build
Re: Mr2mkii 1994 hardtop
Wow - looks a really good project. Nice attention to detail with the use of an early dash now that the airbags have gone.
I had no idea that the NA and Turbo had different sized brake boosters. My car (1993 3SGE to 1994 3SGTE engine conversion) has grooved CRN discs all round, yellow stuff pads, Goodrich brake lines, recently serviced calipers and Motul 600 fluid, but the brakes don't feel anywhere near good enough for the car.
Maybe I need to get the booster upgraded?

Try better pads first. DS2500 or Mintex 1144 are far better than any EBC crap. If you've got the cash carbotech are very good for the mk2.

Awesome build! Are you sure those rear wheels (and tyres) won't rub? How much arch roll is needed?

yes it will fit, yes it will need some modifications (fender rolled, stretched tires, camber. Not recommended for anybody who doesn't want to touch to the body

well from what I know there is actually 2 setup of Beams turbo running
the first one honestly really look like xxxx with wires all over, setup made like if it was a home made

The second one however is a complete build up made by Rogue Motorsports in UK
a guy bought the setup and from what we know it was making 346bhp at the hubs (probably dynojet if it's at the hubs) which gives higher number
however the last time we heard about him was back in may 2009... so we have no idea what the setup really gave and where it is right now
