Look on the plate in the frunk, on panel behind radiator,

Well a google image search for Azure Blue brings up this colour of MR2, so I'm also pretty sure it is Azure Blue.

Hi Shane! Long time no see...

That is indeed Azure blue, pretty sure you can't get Caribbean on an R plate. Cari blue was rev3 only and azure was rev4 only, R is 1997 which should make it a rev4. Paint code for azure is 8K9 if that helps.

Hi Guys

You have got me there

Just purchased this one.

Looks pretty good and with 41,000 on the clock i though i would go for it. needs my normal clean up although pretty mint already

Just cant get it home for the weather. Supposed to be Friday

Actually bought this locally within 20 miles of me. Make a change from 1000 mile trips

No to sure on the alloys yet but i will get them all cleaned and see how it goes

John thank for the response i hear your a mk1 owner now. Well Done

thanks for the code it is indeed 8K9 as i am sure thats what the guy said when i looked at it but i could not remember till you said it.

I knew it was not caribean as brother HAD one of them. Its november 97 so that fits in

Thats sorted then i can get a touch up pen.

We will need another run allan shortly. A beer and a catch up sounds great

Hi Shane,

Long time no hear mate :D I was up in Huntly a couple of weeks ago in my mk2, did it no probs, with only some of the snow drifts on the road to Aberdeen proving a tad iffy at times..

Anyhoo, that's Azure Blue definately as my mate recently had one - looked great with dark gunmetal colour alloys..

Cheers,

Ooppss must have miss read that somewhere John

Yes i still have the Mk1 and the Mk3 roadster.

Just thought i should add a mk2 to the collection.

Probably if i can bear to part with it I will sell the Mk1 in the spring but not sure. I love the old girl as you know.

catch up soon.

Ross

I think gun metal alloys would look pretty good but not going to buy that at present as budgets would not allow it. Will see how the ones that are on look once cleaned up.

Finally did it then Shane -thought you weren't a big fan of the MK2? Or did you feel then need to balance the numbers?

Nice colour!

All the best.

Hi Richard long time no speak.

Yip you are right i never thought i would buy a mk2 but there you go.

Nice example, bit bigger for the camping gear and can take the dog in it.

Does finish the set too though :thumleft:

Need to catch up soon or go on a nice run once we get the better weather.

haha lucky you're not in Ford Escorts otherwise you'd have a fair old number of cars to collect through the versions! Nice colour, nice weather? Can't even beging to think of being warm and dry outside but it sure is a nice thought to drive in it when it comes :thumleft:

Sush Allan, don't give him any ideas -gotta be a serial collector here!!! You heard from Mark (Portgordon) recently -how's he fairing these days?

Shane, I'm working back in Aberdeen again (300yds from my old office when I worked in Westhill for my sins) so I'm passing by every week through Huntly back home on late Friday afternoon / evening. Could stop by for a coffee or some food somewhere if it suits you and Susan sometime? I haven't spoken to Bill and May for a wee while -was over at theirs a couple of months ago as we have a mutual friend through May. Must catch up with them as well sometime soon.

Richard that would be great to catch up with you. Just give me a call or a text and we can get something arranged as its been too long :thumleft:

Bill told me you were in past. Ate him out of house and home and drunk all his beer :D

Hear from you soon. I can pick your brains on my alarm problem when your are in
