TRD kit

Post by Dan89 »

What do you all think to the TRD 2000gt? Looks wise that is? I've seen a few pics on them and some I like some I don't. Just wondering what everyone else though. And how much would you pay for the bodykit for one? Let's here what you have to say :-)

I have seen another member of the OC's several times and it is a real beauty. To me it makes the 2 look more modern but without taking away it's appeal. I would have one but at around £2k for a good kit without the spoiler, you have to be looking at another £1k for fitting and spraying, it has to be a long term commitment.

I know there was a guy called Rob Brookes who does some really good work but he is busy at the moment. His link is below I hope it helps Dan.

Hm suppose it does help to actually see one for real, rather than in a pic. Cost of fitting and respray isn't a problem as my 2 is going in to body shop next year for a respray and some body work to be done so it wouldn't make too much difference in that respect. Just thinking of going a bit different looks wise, make it a bit special.
Must admit I didn't expect the kits to cost that much without spoiler.

chances are you would also have to figure in the cost of new wheels.

yep new wider wheels or some big spacers. if you pay cheap for the kit then 9/10 its a really bad fit and would cost double to get it to fit

All credit to Rob's kit, everyone I've met says it is spot on and needs very little adjustment. Worth the extra pennies to save on the hassle of fitting.
