thinking of changing rims after xmas currently running 7j front and 8.5j rear was thinking of a 8j 9j set up but cant seem to find any pics of any with this set up, anyone have any??

i'd say 8 and 9 are more common but depending on offset's your current wheels are easily as good

What wheels do you have at the moment?

7J/8.5j is a nice stagger.

215/245 would fit really nice on that setup. I always found 215 on a 8j looked slightly stretched. On a 7J its going to give the rim more protection.

rob that looks wicked mate love those rims what offsets are they?


rahzel currently running forged maglines up front and ultralite daiki's on the rear

think i may have to raise it a tad for 9" on the back though!

Fronts are 17x8 ET33, Rears are 17x9 ET42

IMO they fill as much of the natural arch as possible without risking the tyres rubbing :)

8x17 et42 front, 215x40
9x17 et42 rear, 235x40.

The front doesn't look stretched at all to be honest. Hard to see from this photo but the only one I have available at the moment.

When in Rome, even though mine are mini and not 8 and 9,

Here are my Modena 16's:

7J front with 205x45's ET35 (iirc)
8J Rear with 225x40's ET26 (again iirc)

Bad pics really as the labels are still on the tyres and the coilovers need fitting, but feel the need to join in:

some sweet rims there guys think i may hold on to the ones i have for a bit and see what comes up over xmas!
