TBH you'd need to get some advice from the specialists on here to know how the volume is for your type of system on track but there isn't too much stuff that pings the driveby as far as I know.

I've bought a sound meter, how do they test at Oulton? Is it drive by at 3/4 revs?

I don't know specifically for Oulton, but in the past the sound testing I've had to pass has been:

- Static test 3/4 rpm a couple foot from the exhaust (may have been a specific distance- not sure as I was in the car)

- Live drive by testing throughout the day, which if you are too loud you'll get pulled in (so depends where on the track the mic's are, which side of the track, etc)

I'm not worried about the static test tbh. My car isn't that loud at 3/4 revs. It's purely the screamer when at full tilt. If I'm only running at 0.5bar (TBC) then the waste gate will be open for large periods of time methinks...

Obviously if there was just a drive-by test and that was it, I'd be able to just back off the throttle a bit.

I'll wait until it's running and see how loud it is under load.

Static is at 3/4 revs from 1m, drivebys vary hugely as the levels depend on the distance from the track of the sensor as well as whether it's a full acceleration zone, the angle or position of your exhaust, how the noise bounces off the local scenery etc. If you're OK on the static then 9/10 cars will have no issues on the driveby.
