I would suggest, drive so that you don't have to brake so much.

Eg plan it so that you only use full power for a while, or at times, so you're terminal speed coming up to the bend is not so much.

Also, try starting with track days in the late autumn

/ winter, it will be cheaper and you'll be more likely to get wet

/ challenging

/ less tyre-wearing conditions.

The go back home with big smile on face and flowers.

Take partner out for dinner and persuade her how she'd also find it rewarding to take the Cooper out
