[Mk2] [Turbo] Hesitant at 4500rpm

Post by willfinch36 »

Yesterday my car started hesitating at about 4500rpm, popping etc, so i reset the ecu, problem went away for about 15 miles of mixed driving... now its come back... I have reset it again and its ok (its not my daily drive so its not urgent), but could this be a worn rotary cap? or need new spark plugs???

Could be a number of things; Plugs, leads, Dizzy/rotor arm, 02 sensor.

Start with the cheapest first and play the elimination game.

Have a look at my recent thread, it may give you some ideas or a fix...
