Well iv been on the Forum for over a year now and got loads of advice and ideas from you guys so i thought i better join up and show you what im working on.
Its an MR2 1993 Rev 2 Turbo Jap Import and im the 2nd UK owner.
Bough atbout 9 months ago like this:
A good base to start with and got it for £4,000 on ebay
The first thing i started sorting was the interior as it was red and faded and ripped in places., i already had some white leather seats, they went in along with some door cards from Harry at LSD and some painted parts i had done.
Next to sort was the engine, it worked lovely and had some performances parts already in the shape of stage 1 clutch, Blitz blow of valve, Turbo timer, Custom exhaust and DE-cat and air filter.
From this dirtyness:
to this after a few weeks of hard work.
Couple more sunny day of work:
And this is were i got to buy the end of summer, now has uprated intercooler and samcos and custom air filter. more to do once the weather pics up!
Again thinkin out of the box i wanted to be able to show of the engine work i had done so i took a N/A Lid and cut the backing off and sprayed it with cans and it came out alright i recon and iv had no problems with water on the engine/leads.
I put the standard tubby lid on over winter with all the snow and rain weve had!
Next up was wheels, i just fancied a change so went for these but after having them on for 4 months im going to sell them and get them in 19" with 9.5" width!!!!!
I also had the car profesionally valetted and polished up and the red ame up lovely.
Currently workin on some custom parts for the car includiing door builds, subwoofer build, custom dash.
Also within next few months gona get the car Re-sprayed
stay tuned
Me the same I'm afraid. Not keen on the n/a lid or the lights either. I'd have kept the old wheels too. I like the new ones but think the old ones suit that car more.
That said it's all about what pleases you.

really good engine bay, quite a transformation ! Its all personal taste, but i like the new wheels too and i think the tinted lexus lights look great ( but they would look dire if not tinted red ) so thinking outside the box worked on this one i think !
The interior looks really tidy now BUT IMO looks a bit too monochrome, whereas the red gave it a little interest.
I would definatley put the under part metal back on the engine lid, all it takes is a heavy downpour to fill your spark plug wells with water, and then it will sound like a scooby!
