If anyone bends or breaks their car before the event I am up for giving you the first clout, so behave lads

T

p.s. JJ?

Toni, I should realistically have a free weekend - problem now is my engines half built at home, I can't lift it !! lol ! and I need to move it 10 miles away to fit it in down the lockup.. I'm not destroying my red brick drive again with oil ! #-o

Next weekends looking like I can give an answer, which might be a bit late for entrances.. but hey.. I'm fall back man again, so i'm sure there may be a space that shows up [-o<

You could always go as a reserve now, if your car isn't ready you don't enter so no money lost - it's also an incentive for you to pull for your finger out, get that city slicker Cordiner round to give you a lift :)

Where are the Hornsey brothers these days? I was hoping one of them might have been up for this too.

Hey michael,

No worrys sticking me on the reserve list... as I mentioned, I'm not one for stepping forward if the performance is unknown. I've got a stock Rev 2 I can flog up in  14 sec qrts don't do it for me though and complete waste of time.

I'll be there nonetheless, so can help out where I can.... I guess, if I dont' bring the MR2, I've got a big booted honda I can use as a tool shed !

t's also an incentive for you to pull for your finger out

#-o Believe me, I'll be doing something in the next fortnight. With the sudden change in lifestyle lately, I find it difficult to do anything these days on the cars ( got too many customers to contend with too ! ) I've just got a few oil line connection issues to resolve and some damn 850's to hardwire into the the wiring loom ( no resistor ballast required - direct fire !! ) then I can built it up complete, then take my engine out, swap the box over etc etc etc....

city slicker Cordiner round to give you a lift

I've already requested his assistance in making coffee. :clown: Damn his specs clutch, it playing up... its having problems disengaging ... looks like the box is gonna have to come off again

Funny you should mention that, I swung past pauls last night when I went to set up stuart bowens cams .. spoke a few words, but their car is unlikely to participate in any event as its got some serious oil burning problem, so until paul rectifies that, he assures me the engines coming out this weekend. Lees joined the NA squad, he's sporting about in a normally aspirated now... I guess give him a few months and it'll be turbocharged !

Can a supra be stuck on the Imoc reserve list ?? Michels exploded oil all over Thors rollers the other week... no need !! Damn oil relocation kits !! pah ! Wasted day for setting it up. !!

Hows tricks at your end ?

Given that you have had near standard cars well under 14's I suspect you'd be a useful driver, having said this the BBQ you did last year with Michel produced some nice chicken so I'm easy either way ;)

Seriously though it would be good to have you racing if at all possible, if you feel there is a chance you'll be there and ready to race can you fill in a form and send a cheque off asap? As mentioned before the reserve cheques won't be cashed unless you take part so if anything happens it's not a problem. Just mark up the form so they know you are a reserve :)

I thought he'd been a little quiet of late - sounds like a nightmare when you've travelled all that way. Stick an MR2 badge on it and we'll see what we can do ;)

Hectic :)

Is this true ? then i will and truely have to sort something out !

I thought he'd been a little quiet of late

Hes just drove over to prague, to pick his mother in law up as shes relocating to his house for a few months !! That should be interesting ( he's flown back and going back out there in 2 weeks to drive back ! )

I'm refusing to work on that supra.. simply because everything he does, I have to revist it and correct it, so my theory is, if something fails, it fails in his hands, then he can phone me for advice. Repair work is on a 2 month backlog  so he soon finds the inspiration to repair something he has done over and over and over again.

Bumpers coming off for the 20th time I think !

I wouldn't lie to you :)

Just make sure the form is marked as a reserve for IMOC and I'll chat to Chris if the additional places fall our way or anyone in the team has issues [-o<

*mutters under breath that he's already posted this link 5 times this week*

No problem at all sir, try this:

http://www.totb.co.uk > Compete > Apply Now > Entry Form

OR:

http://www.totb.co.uk/compete/TOTB%204% ... 20form.pdf

Needs to be with them by Saturday morning at the very latest, please write "Reserve" on it somewhere.

if i can convince my friend greame to take part his mr2 turbo will probably smash all record. engine has had around £35,000 spent on it with receipts it sits at around 450bhp and is capable of just over 170mph probably 0-60 in around 4 or less put it this way its faster than ferrari's. it has a straight cut dog box and all the extra's with it!

Sounds good to me. Would be nice to know some more about it though - I have heard of quite a few +400bhp MR2's that turned out to be 300 and a bit MR2's once we actually saw them ;)

£35k sounds like he has done a decent job though!
