Anyone know any FRIENDLY MOT garages in southeast london

Looking to get my Nov 95 Turbo thru the MOT with a aussie downpipe fitted. It should not be able to be done, but just wondering if anyone has had any experiences with FRIENDLY garages that would get it thru. Grateful for any assistance.

Phew, such a grey area now, those "friendly garages" don't seem to exist anymore as the penalties are so high....

Most garages are like the one I use - they MOT the cars properly but don't rip you off on the work or tell you that there are problems when there aren't. Finding a friendly GENUINE garage is now the trick.

Well, K&B Auto's in St. Annes on Sea is a damn fine garage, does the work to a very high standard (mechanical work), doesn't tell you that you need work when you don't, is friendly, informative, shows you the old parts and how the new ones were fitted.

Peter & Alan are the co-owners - both experienced and "old school" mechanics rather than the c&ckjockeys who work for dealerships that just hook up their PC's to the cars to tell them what's wrong then invariably just rip the old part away and replace with an overpriced new one when there is every chance that the old part can be rebuilt with new components...

Phew.

As for bodywork - Marton Autobodies in Blackpool - Pat is the owner, damn fine bloke who does top work at great prices (check my car for example - all bodywork and paint was done there).

For car trimming - DB Trim (Dave Brigden) in Blackpool. A VW bug expert who retrims full interiors.

Also a mention to Rogue for trimmers - take a look at his gorgeous seats that he has on sale at a very competitive price.
