I have recently had a set of bc coilovers fitted and when i went for a test drive i noticed a twanging noise coming from the front when turning. the guy who fitted them assured me that it was just the springs bedding in however 3 weeks down the line its still making that noise, surely thats not normal is it
The droplinks although not new, appear to be nice and tight and the mechanic did a four wheel alignment after fitting the shocks. It only makes the noise when i am turning the wheel at low speed i.e manouvering out of a parking space.
I remember a previous post on this relating to Ksports, but the answer was to apply grease bweteen the springs and the rubber pad/perch tops.
Its due to the springs trying to turn and the grease allows smooth movement rather than a jerky 'twang' !
I did have this noise and for sure the grease solved it.

agreed its spring movement causing twanging noise grease the bottoms of the springs, advise : dont set the shocks to maximum or minimum as it causes damaged to the internal valves mine i went back 4 clicks from full stiff
my FTO used to do it, but not any more.
MOT station thought i was top mout when they tested the car.
but Giles from Japco, said for some reason some cars just do it.
wouldn't worry about it unless it goes on for ages. you could try taking off the offending coilover and taking off the spring and puttiong it back to gether it might help.
