but i understand jae is at a new venu this year? and there will be 2 enterences one for general public and one for the members of the club.
How is IMOC arranging this this year? previous year just put a name on a list and kinda just turned up... same this year? or will there be passes etc..

if someone could let me know, much appreciated

HI Grant,

Do a quick search on this site to find answers to most of your Questions. Lauren is leading the Planning for JAE, I'm standing in for the mo whilst she's studying - but other Admins will chip in with info as we can.

But breifly : Its at the East of England Showground, just off the A1 at Peterbrough which is about an hour from London.

There are two entrances - one for the public (parking is outside the area) and another entrance - but only if your car is going on the IMOC stand - this will have to be arranged in advance. There's a competition running at the moment to design our stand ...

I can say there is a plan for a MR2 Village - at a planning meet a few weeks back the Mk1 Club, MR2ROC and IMOC-UK all agreed to get adjacent stands - the MR2OC also managed to get an adjacent stand, and the MR2DC are (I undersand) looking for a stand nearby.

The details of the IMOC stand will be sorted shortly..

what ever happened to parking your car 2 meters away from where u drop your tent :)

I dont wanna leave my car 50 miles away and lug my stuff around a big field.

Can anyone shed any more light on this to see if this is the case, because last year was great, we (ST205, MIV Supra, Rev 3 MR2 Turbo) parked between the MR2OC and the GT4OC n dropped out tent behind the car, which was nice cause the car has a lovely rear end ;) but overall great atmosphere loved evey minute of it.

I hope its just as good this year !

Cheers, hope some one can help

Jay, camping and car stands are being kept separate this year by the Show organisers.

From the Organsisers and clubs meet it was hinted that you could setup your tent next to your car but it will have to be put up after the show closed, and removed before the show opened the next day. You can't have your tent up all day next to your car.

There is a dedicated camping area that we're sharing at the back of the
Mk1 Club's stand - and the area behind that is also designated for support vehicles and camping.

BenF,
Noticed you mentioned support cars there.
Asked on the other thread (volunteers) about support cars but no-one seemed to know, what is the crack with that?
Have some mates coming up in non-MR2 (i.e. car with big boot for beer, tents, bbq etc) and was wondering about access for them.
Some are coming in a Supra and have themselves sorted but now more want to come up, one of whom was going to run a support car.
They came last year and camped with us, which was cool with everyone.
No hurry for an answer, its just with no overnight staying in the car park they may have to make alternative arrangements.
Cheers for the help.

Hi all
Ben / Lauren It would be appreciated if one of you could let me know how to get a pass for the IMOC stand i was intending to come on the Sunday only, but that may change if I can get time off , dont want to have to leave my pride and joy in the public parking area.

I'm interested in going to JAE too, but have no idea how I'm going to get in etc...

I've read "You have to be a member of a car club". How do I prove that on the gate?

"Yeah I'm a member of IMOC".
"Prove it".
"Erm....I know Steven and Mailer?"
"Not good enough"
"How about, I know of Lauren?"
"You're definitely not coming in then"

LOL - I'm a bit confused about this 'only if you're a car club member' myself. I suspect as long as you can name one of the clubs in attendance and you have a Japanese car you'll get in - or they'll be doing email car passes like for GT battle. I'll check either way.
