They've mis printed it! ROFL!

Well spotted!

There's some surprising results there - I didn't expect the tubby to be in a higher position than the more powerful 280BHP 1998 22B STI and Evo IV. Nice find jay.

There's even some cars with around the same power as the tubby but more expensive double wishbone suspension like the S2000 type V, RX8 and NSX that are lapping slower \:D/

HA!

DC2 Hands Down

Lol, all we need now to complete the argument is some people to come in and talk about Macpherson struts being crap compared to double wishbones, the MR2 interior looking cheap, have crap 'handling', poor throttle response and that they'd rather drive something newer and unmodified

What is even more impressive is where the n/a mr2 comes in. It is faster than lots of cars including the new golf gti.

Well I couldn't let the beloved tubby flounder all the way down in 125th place... happy to see they changed it so fast! A few seconds of time and you're happy, I'm happy... everybody's happy  :thumleft:

I think whoever submitted that time has made an error in that submission for the N/A. It appears to be the lap time for a rev 1 tubby from another best motoring video.

I had the day off work today so in a rare moment of free time - and true MR2 geekiness - I watched most of the best motoring You Tube vids of the SW20 at Tsubaka

For convenience I've listed the lap times below in order of speed:

Best motoring 'JDM old cars': Rev 2 turbo GTS - 1.08.23
Best motoring 'Classic battle': Rev3 turbo GTS - 1.08.75
Best motoring 'Old school 90's 2L': Rev 1/2? turbo - 1.09.23
Best motoring 'Mazda roadster': Rev 5 beams? - 1.09.57
Best motoring '<3.5M Yen': Rev 5 turbo GT - 1.09.76
Best motoring 'JDM old cars': Rev 1 turbo GT - 1.10.43
Best Motoring 'FTO GPX vs': MR2 N/A 3SGE rev 3 - 1.11.89
Some 3rd party vid: MR2 N/A 3SGE at Tsubaka - 1.12.2
