I've met some really good guys over xbox live and forza multiplayer.

I always used to run a room and people would like to race within that room because it was always well moderated and fair.

The 12 year old boy asking me to change the class from B or A to R1 will probably get kicked yes, but that just comes down to respect, which kids don't have a lot of these days.

If i fancied racing at the Nur i would search for a lobby running at the Nur. If i fancied something a little slower i would search for such lobbys as silverstone etc....

but now you just get what your given.

Amalfi Coast with 7 noobs all with auto brake.

I honestly feel dissapointed, it would help if i could actually see and understand the reasoning behind this change of format.

It was this format which put it so far ahead of GT.

They will change it soon no doubt due to the incredible uproar all over the gaming community.

BT home hub has some sort of problem with the firmware. when actually in a multiplayer room, during the race the router will power cycle hence losing connection to the game.

Firmware 8.1.H.G, the latest is no good.

You need to get your hands on Trial firmware 8.1.H.J..( forza compat)...However this is not easy, try ringing BT and not getting through to some f'ing Rtard B1tch, probably in the middle of the f'ing Congo.

F U BT.

I rang BT, i explained everything as clear as a bell to Amrita, she told me if i went home from work and reset my hub to default stettings, then ring them back, they would be able to upload the new firmware direct to my hub. I asked them to make a note on the system about our conversation so that it would be easier when i call back.

I went home, reset to default settings, rang them back spoke to somone other r'tard who said my hub would upgrade on its own in the middle of the night to the latest firmware 8.1.H.G.

AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH

You've made me sneak off from work to reset my router to recieve the firmware i already had. I explained it all again in detail, this time she had no idea what i was talking about. I said go and get your F'ing boss you slag.
10 mins later, literally. she comes back and tells me the update won't be out for a couple months but my router will update itself when it does. I explain this is no good for me then guess what, line goes dead, i've been cut off.

F U BT. F U

Only option is to buy an other router which is compat and future proofed, i've found one but it's another 60 quid on top.

I pay £10/mnth for phone line from bt. £29/mnth for up to 8mb broadband, i only get 3.5 mbps dwn and 448 kbps up at the best of times eg 3.30 am. Total of approx £40/mnth for internet access.

Here is my solution.

Fck bt off and not pay the bill, contract is due to end jan 3 2010.

I've just ordered Virgin 20mb for £25/mnth. They come to install the cable then fck off. A saving of £180 per year and a connection 5 times faster than this bull$h1t bt are giving me.

F*ck you BT i hope you go bust and your kids get scurvy.

Nearly ruined Forza 3 for me you mother f*ckers. F U.

and also trying to charge my gran extra because she doesn't understand about direct debits and has always paid her bills at the post office on time, every month, for the past 50 years she has been with BT.

F*ck you BT, you piece of xxxx,

Thank you, Goodnight.

Have you tried just mapping the ports? rather than relying on uPnP?

I've tried everything.

Port mapping, dmz, mac assigning.

It's the firmware on the hub.

I've made a post on money saving expert.

They might take some notice now, but probably not.

Apparently it does fix the forza issue.. others have had success

I have a feeling they have changed the way NAT works

Ie They are now using cone NAT as apposed to symmetric NAT.

This is not defo yet though.

Any other people having problems connecting on forza 3, if you have a BT Hub.

Let me know....

Lovin' the game, one of these days I'm going to have to try out X-Box live.

Does anyone else think they've dumbed down the AI's for the other drivers? I seem to be able to win in far more outclassed cars than I could in Forza 2, and once you overtake them in Forza 3 they seem to just give up.

It is very easy until you start getting towards the R2 class.

Turn all the assists off and practice, as this will make you fast, much faster than with assists on.

Using the clutch is worth 0.5s a lap on the faster tracks eg sedona.

Having no tcs will make you learn how to not spin the wheels. when tcs kicks in you have very limited power.

Having no abs will force you to tune your brakes so they work like a race car. eg stability into corners when braking.

Manual gears is a must for anyone looking to race fast....

Go on live mate, everyone is the same, they think they are good and that they are gonna win, but you'll get dnf'd probably, it's such a big difference. Far far more intense. AI will let you through, I'll make sure i don't, ( if i can help it ).

I'm guessing you guys all use a wheel? manual gears and joystick controller seems like a no-no.

Can you connnect 360's wirelessly to the www?

Controller all the way if you wanna be fast.

I have the wheel but it is a million times harder, every corner is a real test of skill, and thats just on practice.

Easy to use the gears with controller.. how have you got yours set up?

I use : shift down = blue button shift up = red button clutch = green button.

I always used to use the old GT style. accel/decel on the right stick but have had to change for forza 3 to use the clutch. I'll get used to it though.

Honestly, choose normal manual gears no clutch and get used to it, you will be so much faster and be able to select when you want to shift. Then bring the clutch in after that. It will only take 12 hours racing and you will have the hang of it.

ive always had the assists off even on forza 2 and now i always use the cockpit view but using the clutch is taking me a while to get used to. its now quite hard to brake (with no abs) and downshift at the same time.

im sure i'll get used to it though

Have a look on my Storefront for my 99,999pt drift (1pt short of the 100,000pt achievement  )

If I'm not on your friends list go to the storefront where you can buy vinyl's and search for Super Hero & Cartoon, change to highest rating and somewhere near in the top 20 will be my version of Dextor. Go into it and then you can go to my storefront and you will find the drift in the Replay section

This is the Dextor you are looking for...
