will do mate, iv'e been trawling the web for bonnet pins, i'd like some flush mount ones really cuz i don't wanna ruin the lines of the bonnet but i can't find any in this country. i found some carbon ones in the US that are lockable too but no prices on the site http://www.importstreetscenes.com/exter ... argespeed/
(2nd ones from the top)

Cheers!

sorry for steve, about the quality, yeah they are good altough on one of the bends i do have a fairly large imperfection that if i was a tit i could make a big deal about, but since im not i can appreciate all shafs efforts and be happy that they are 98% perfect, will be fitting on sunday and will put up some picks.
Once again cheers shaf

LMAO, but did you hear what happened to Steve's bonnet? i wouldn't mind the boy racer look if it stops my bonnet flying up and snapping in half, denting my roof!

Cheers!

Not yet but i think Shaf is gonna sort it out, so does that make you reconsider the bonnet pin idea then?

Cheers!

i have managed to sort out steve a replacement one at the cost of shipping however the suppliers have got back to me and said that they will not accept any more claims.

their excuse from now on will be that the bonnets werent fitted correctly.... as such i can only recommend that you do fit some pins, safety wise.

thanks guys, all i can say is it was a completely left ball ache to sort this and i wont be rushing into anymore group buys in the near future

the only reason why i did it was because i tried to organise the group buy last year and didnt come through and this year i had a bit of spare cash so thought what the hell. let me make a few people happy for a change :D

for the most part the bonnets are ok, it's just that since they are mass produced, they arent always checked for quality. if they look ok, they pass through.

Hi Danny, I might be interested in some bonnet pins. Don't want to ruin the lines of the bonnet as you say but I'd rather be safe than sorry. If you can get some prices mate.

The bonnet was not flush with the headlights and while driving, wind got underneath the bonnet and flicked it back against the windscreen and put 2 dents on his roof

Mine lifts slightly all the time and scares me to death, the joys of an aluminium bonnet - luckily Toyota put 2 catches on and hooks - still a worry at daft speeds though so Steve must have been a bit put off by that - bad news :(

I don't think there is any provision for the bonnet to go with the factory bonnet catch, so bonnet pins to hold it down :(

That would put me off though because I dislike the look of bonnet pins.

I thought you lot went for border style bonnet with the vent thingy, surly no problem with them ? wind can still escape and I always though you still use the factory catch is it not ??
